Sharon Faye Scherer, 67, of Buffalo, went into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center - East Campus, Davenport.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 27th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held directly after at 11:00 am.
Sharon was born on April 21, 1957, in Davenport, the daughter of Edward and Irene (Willroth) Scherer. Sharon graduated from West High School in 1975. She married James “Oley” Carlson on October 23, 1976, in Buffalo, IA, they were later divorced. Sharon worked at Buffalo Savings Bank for several years, retiring in 2003.
Sharon was a member of the USFW, Buffalo Friends Church, and a devoted volunteer over the years at the Buffalo food bank and giveaway.
Sharon found great joy in watching the Hawkeyes, dogs, crocheting, baking, and collecting pig figurines. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She always had a smile on her face and a sweet disposition for everyone she encountered. Sharon will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff at Genesis Medical Center and DaVita Dialysis for the amazing care over the years.
Survivors include her children, Jesse (Pam Wells) Carlson of Davenport, Mary (Scott) Bauercamper of Toddville, IA, Becky (Steve) Livingston of Ottumwa, IA, grandchildren, Draven, Emma, Molly, Julia, Andrew, Isabel, sister, Kathy (Doug) Miller of Davenport, and brother, Gary (Lynn) Scherer of Blue Grass, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
