Sharon Lynn (King) Schwarz, 63, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, March 3, 2013.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born in Davenport on May 16, 1949, the daughter of Howard E. & Anna I. (Ring) King and was a graduate of Davenport Central High School.
Sharon was employed at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, retiring after 15 years of service.
She enjoyed playing bingo, loved her dog, “Hercules” and will always be remembered as a person who thought of other people’s needs before her own.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jarret M. Schwarz of Davenport; her granddaughter, Serenity; her father, Howard E. King of Davenport; her sister, Carol (Jerry) Jacobsen of Davenport; her brothers, Roger (Maggie) King of Davenport and David King of Davenport; her aunts, Pat Crowley of Tipton, Iowa and Louise Ring of LeClaire, Iowa; and her former husband, Mike Schwarz of Davenport.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Anna; and her nephew, Clint Jacobsen.
