Sharon K. Hildebrandt, 60, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lions Club International Foundation or the Susan L. Bader Foundation of Hope.
She was born February 9, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Willard & Virginia (Schultz) Peters. On January 5, 1996, she was united in marriage to Gerald L. Hildebrandt in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1997.
Sharon was a devoted homemaker & loving mother. She was an avid fan of the Quad-City Mallards and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.
Her memberships included the Greater Rock Island Noon Lions Club, the Lions of Illinois District I-H Cabinet and the Green Acres Mother’s Club.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Kippen Hildebrandt of Bettendorf; her sons & daughters-in-law, Todd & Amy Hildebrandt of Bettendorf and Quint & Teri Easter of Eldridge, Iowa; her grandchildren, Willard, Kailee & Kristena; several step-children; many step- grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters & brothers-in-law, Eloise Jones of Bettendorf, Judy & Dick Magnuson in Washington State, Elsie & Paul Dodson of Davenport and Estella & Don McFadden of Davenport; her brother & sister-in-law, Fred & Judy Peters of Quincy, Illinois; and many other brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Phillip Easter and her brother-in-law, Charles Jones.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Linda Lohff, Judy Sumpter, Pathway Hospice, especially Brenda and the Trinity West Oncology Unit for their compassion, care and concern.
