Shirley E. Rawls

Shirley E. Rawls, 75, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 26, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa Cook Hospice House.
She was born June 30, 1931 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Fred L. & Agnes (Friedholdt) Evans. On October 19, 1953, she was united in marriage to H. Harold Rawls in Corinth, Mississippi.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandma & great-grandma and was dearly loved by her entire family. In early years, she worked as an accountant at the former Petersen Harned-Von Maur Department Store in Davenport.
Among the things she enjoyed were gardening, crocheting and spending time with her beloved family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Harold; her daughter, Paula E. (Dr. David) Pratt of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Julie (Trevor) Olson of Davenport and Tom R. VanBlaricome of Bettendorf; her great-grandson, Alexander Olson; her step-daughter, Karen (Rodney) Rogers in South Carolina; her step-grandchildren, Danielle Pratt of Davenport, Christopher Pratt of Bettendorf, Chris, Laurie & Joanie; her step-great-grandchildren, Ahmad, Sierra & Charlie; her sisters, Jeanette Almhoff of San Jose, California, Dorothy Bean of Mill Valley, California and Phyllis Lauderbaugh of Santa Rosa, California; her brother, Fred Evans Jr. of Rathdrum, Idaho; her aunt, Anita Steffen of Bettedorf; cousins, nieces & nephews; and her brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Don & Carol Rawls of Utica, New York.
Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Evans and Lois Franklin; and by her parents.
