Sidney D. Folland

Sidney DeWayne Folland, 67, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at his home after a brief illness. Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Mount Joy Cemetery, Mount Joy, Iowa. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:30 P.M. on Sunday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Memorials may be made to the family.
Sidney was born March 8, 1937 in Clark County, Iowa. He married Shirley Toney on October 6, 1958 in Osceola, Iowa. He retired from Case IH in 1992 after 22 years. As a young man, Sidney enjoyed bull riding, rodeos, and later bluegrass and country music, and hunting, fishing, and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Shirley; his children and their spouses, Albert & Linda, Donald & Dawn, Sidney, Jr. & Diane Folland, Sandra Folland and Allan Goarcke; six grandchildren, Sidney, Dustin, DJ, David, Matt, and Ashley Folland; his mother-in-law, Iona; three brothers-in-law, Jim, Richard, and Lonnie; four sisters-in-law, Esther, Fran, Barb, and Kathy; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Sidney was preceded in death by his mother, Cleo; his sister, Shirley; his father-in-law, John; and his brother-in-law, Jerry.
