Sonya Showens

Memorial services for Sonya Ronae Showens, 51, of Davenport will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Faith United Church of Christ, Davenport, (located at 1630 West 38th St, Davenport). Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am to service time at the church.

Sonya passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Sonya Ronae Yoke was born on October 12, 1971, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Ronnie and Bev (Hurst) Yoke. She married Terry Showens in July of 1998 in Davenport, IA.

Sonya was a former member of the Eagle Lodge, Davenport, and enjoyed crafts, hockey and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Terry of Davenport, daughters, Kristen (Sebastian) West and Kaitlin “Kai” Showens, both of Davenport, one grandson, Axell, and brothers, Jeff Yoke and Jason Yoke, both of Davenport, and many family and friends that loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leann Yoke.
