Stephen Mayhew

Stephen R. Mayhew, 63, a resident of Bettendorf, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus in Davenport.
Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Born on September 14, 1950 in Aledo, IL, Steve was the son of Robert and Janet (Carlson) Mayhew. On October 15, 1977 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf, he married Deborah Cline.
Steve was an auto parts salesman, working for Hondl Company which later became CARQUEST. Steve was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed Go-Karts and was a member of Dusters Kart Club.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Deborah; daughters, Samantha (Aaron) Remley of Bettendorf and Kristin (Josh) Snowbarger of Davenport; and his parents, Robert and Janet Mayhew of Preemption, IL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one uncle, Stuart.
