Stephen A. Norman

Stephen A. Norman, 50, a resident of Blue Grass, Iowa died on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at his home.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the benefit of Steve’s daughter, Erin.
He was born September 7, 1958 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of William & Judy (Qualman) Norman and attended Clinton High School.
In earlier years, Steve worked as a lineman and technician for several telecommunications companies.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, the out-of-doors and most of all, spending time with his beloved daughter, Erin.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Erin; his mother, Judy (Donald) Downing of Davenport; his father, William (Fran) Norman of Morrison, Illinois; his sister, Kathy (Dave) Lundberg of Bettendorf; his brothers, Mark Norman of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Kevin Norman of St. Charles, Illinois, Eric Norman of St. Charles, Illinois and Kurt Norman of Morrison, Illinois; and his nieces & nephews, including Matt Sampson, Megan Sampson, Amanda Norman, Anna Hessong, Hunter Hessong, Janie Hessong, Meara Collentine and Hannah Lundberg.
Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Stacy Hessong and by his nephew, Thomas Hessong.
