Susan E. Martin

Funeral services for Susan E. Martin, 69, of Bettendorf will be 11:00 am on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.
 
Susan (Susie) Elizabeth Reiman was born on February 4, 1955, in Scott County to Francis and Elva (Pool) Reiman.  She married Danny Martin on September 9, 2000.  Susie died on February 5, 2024, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House.  She passed peacefully and surrounded by family.
 
Susie loved to cross stitch and crochet, with her proudest creations donated to the God’s Tiny Angels organization to keep premature and newborn babies warm with blankets, clothing, and bereavement gowns.  She was also an avid outdoor enthusiast, with a special love for fishing.  
 
Susie’s soft spot for the vulnerable was evident throughout her career in the medical equipment and billing industry, where she enjoyed providing care to those in need, as well as her willingness to rescue senior cats to give them a forever home.
 
Susie is survived by her husband, Danny; daughter Mindy (Jarrod) Krug; son Frank Waters; stepson Shannon (Melissa) Martin; stepdaughter Shawn Martin; grandchildren Peyton, Hadleigh, Reese, Chase, and Landon; nieces Becky (Reiman) Pernell and Katherine Thornton.
 
Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert “Bobby” Reiman.
