Susan L. Carroll

Susan Lauri Carroll, 50, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Friday, December 15, 2006 at her home following an illness.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born October 8, 1956 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Merlyn & Janet (Weakley) VanSyoc. Susan attended the University of Northern Iowa where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Library Science.
On July 10, 1997, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey J. Carroll in Waterloo.
Susan was a homemaker and devoted many volunteer hours to the Cedar Falls Public Library and the Cedar Falls Public Schools.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jeff; her daughter, Tracy (Vijay) Puri of Bettendorf; her sons, Joseph Slick of Bettendorf and Jacob Carroll of Bettendorf; her granddaughter, Sidney; her parents, Merlyn & Janet VanSyoc of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her sister, Mickey (Jim Dixon) Reuter in Montana; her step-sister, Debbie Neighbor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her step-brother, David Carter of Cedar Rapids.
