Teresa Durant

Teresa M. Durant, 58, of Bettendorf passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at her residence.

Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services and cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting with the arrangements.

Teresa was born on February 12, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Phyllis Gurke.  Following high school, she continued her education in nursing.  Teresa worked as an LPN at various gastroenterology groups in the Quad City area, as well as the John Deere Medical Group.  She loved to travel and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.  She was proud to be the center of attention and will be fondly remembered as the life of the party.

Those left to honor her memory are her son, David (Mindy) Fox of LeClaire, Iowa; daughter, Shawna Fox of Bettendorf; step-children, Valerie Perez, Chad Durant; sister, Michelle Arbogast of McKenzie, Alabama; three grandchildren, Trenton, Garrett, Timberlen; special nieces and nephew, Jennifer Bailey, Stephanie Murrell, Michael Taylor; special cousin, Joan Ferguson; and special friend, Brad Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis.
