Thomas Benham

Thomas Henry Benham, 68 of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A Memorial Service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at New Life Church in Moline, Illinois. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Tom’s memory be made to the New Life Church, the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or the American Cancer Society. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Tom was born June 15, 1945 in Plymouth, Vermont, the son of Howard and Anna (Noyes) Benham. On November 7, 1970 he married Beth Blewitt in Claremont, New Hampshire.
Tom was happily retired from the workforce and spent his life pursuing his hobbies of woodworking, restoring classic cars, watching old western movies, Home Improvement, listening to music and camping. Tom spent many years in sales with his last positions at Reynolds Manufacturing and Seaburg Industries.
Tom will be remembered for his great cooking abilities. A good friend of his said, "Tom was a very good man who will bring gourmet cooking to all the angels in heaven."
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Beth Benham; his children Lynsey Benham and Michael Benham; his grandchildren, Kourtney, Stephanie, Kelsey, Stormy, Serenity and Jerry; his sister Patti Jacobus and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Benham; his sisters, Barbara Parenti, Arlene Kochis, and Shirley Golding; and his brothers Norman and Ronald Benham.
