Thomas W. Clark, 82, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Memorials may be made to the family.
Tom was born May 25, 1932 in Preston, Iowa, the son of Charles & Clara (Hogg) Clark. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953.
On July 2, 1955, he was united in marriage to Christina M. Storjohann in Davenport. She passed away on January 28, 2010. Tom was later united in marriage to Roberta D. Hough on July 21, 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Tom was employed with Caterpillar in Mount Joy for many years. He had also been a barber and worked in road construction in earlier years. Tom was a proud godfather to C.J. Kash and proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Christina. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Roberta; his daughters, Mary Clark, of Port Byron, Illinois and Tina (Jason) Hall, of Mountainberg, Arkansas; his son, David (Sue) Clark, of Des Moines; his granddaughter, Christina Hall; and his sister, Rose McDermott of Sabula, Iowa.
In addition to his wife, Christina, Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Olive Culver, Virginia Waters, Minnie Barton, Clara Jochum and Pat Brocket; and his brothers, Lindus and Bill Clark.
