Thomas Damron, Sr.

Thomas E. Damron Sr., 70, of Princeton, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his home.

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Boll’s Community Center in Princeton.  Private graveside services will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Princeton.  Memorials may be made to Genesis Cardiac Rehab Program in Davenport Iowa.

Tom was born December 7, 1945 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Virgil & Marjorie (Dally) Damron.  He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Kelly on October 2, 1976 in St. Louis, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on February 23, 2010.

Thomas loved music, attending concerts and movies, traveling and spending time with his friends, family and his church.  He was proud to have served in the United States Navy.

Those left to honor Tom’s memory include his children, Tammy Stewart of Sterling, Illinois, Thomas Earl Damron Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina, Tracy (Thomas) Sharp of Colona, Illinois, Tricia (James) Smith of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Toni (Richard) Hendricksen of Eldridge, Iowa and Jodi Loquist-Damron of Bettendorf; 18 grandchildren; his sisters, Patricia A. Damron of Daytona Beach, Florida and Susan Lynn Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Jo, Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandchildren, Shelby Armold, Star Loquist and Marcus Edward Damron.
