Thomas Allen “T.J.” Anderson, Jr., 19, of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Born on July 18, 1996 in Davenport, T.J. was the son of Thomas Allen Anderson, Sr. and Tisha (Clark) Smith.
T.J. worked at Fareway in Bettendorf and was attending Scott Community College, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed skateboarding, playing the guitar and making videos.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Tisha (Adam) Smith of Bettendorf and Thomas Anderson, Sr. of Davenport; brother, Tylee Sterling Anderson; step-sisters, Ashley and Alexis Smith; grandmother, Kay Rowe of Bettendorf; step-grandmother, Sheila Smith of Bettendorf; aunts, Betty Gainey and Carol (Kurt) McDermott; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sterling Cecil Clark, Jr., Irma Knight and Sterling Cecil Clark, Sr., Marlene Anderson; and uncle, Jerry Lee Anderson.
