Tod M. Broderick, 58, of Bettendorf passed away unexpectedly at his beloved lake house in Lake Thunderhead, Missouri on Friday, May 27, 2022.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday, June 3rd at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Following visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Friday at My Place, Bettendorf. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Tod was born on January 17, 1964 in Davenport, to Robert and Joan (Abbott) Broderick. He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1982. Tod worked as an expeditor at Arconic for 10 years and was a proud member of the Steelworkers Union, Local 105. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Those left to honor his memory are his parents, Robert & Joan Broderick of Bettendorf; fiancé, Teresa Achenbaugh of Bettendorf; his daughters, Brittney (Michael) Miller of LeClaire, Iowa, Cassy (Eddie) Garza of Pingree Grove, Illinois; granddaughters, Brea and Maisy Miller, and Fiona Garza; brothers, Troy (Melissa) Broderick of Coal Valley, Illinois, Trent Broderick of Bettendorf; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandson in infancy, Brody Miller.
Tod lived his life to the fullest and encouraged others to, “Live today like it’s your last, because tomorrow is not promised.” He believed that life is too short to be unhappy.
