Tommy Tucker Sr.

Tommy J. Tucker Sr., of Davenport, Iowa, passed Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence.
Tommy was born July 12, 1941 in Davenport, the son of Edward and Joy Ann (Lopshire) Tucker. Tommy married Sharon Harper on June 3, 1961, in Buffalo, Iowa. He was employed at LaFarge as a Class A Millwright, until he retired in 2004.
Tommy enjoyed working on cars, eating sweets and pistachios, and mushroom hunting. He took pride and was very particular on how his lawn looked each year. Tommy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Tommy will be remembered by his wife of 52 years Sharon Tucker; his daughter Tammy Joe Aldrich, of Davenport; his son Tommy Joe Tucker Jr., of Davenport; his grandchildren Dustin, Jesse, Aaron, Chris, Amy, Callie, Linda, Nicole, and Donnie; his 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters Linda (Van) Curtis, of Missouri, Becky Abbott, of Missouri, and Judy (Earl) Mead; his brothers Jerry (Judy) Tucker, of Missouri, and Jim (Bev) Tucker, of Montpelier, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Timmy Joe Tucker; his grandson Kaydin Defauw; and his sister Sandy.
