Victor Laron Lightner

         Victor Laron Lightner, 54, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital following an extended illness.

         A celebration of Victor's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, Davenport.

          Victor was born on January 19, 1969 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son if Jimmie and Gloria (Parks) Lightner Sr.  He worked as a cook and in management at Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen in Davenport.

          Those left to honor his memory are his daughter, Victoria (Drevon Blakely-Smith) Lightner of Moline; three grandchildren, Victoriyanah Lightner, Justice Lightner, and Drevon Blakely-Smith Jr.; his siblings, Robert Earl Carpenter, Miranda (Delbert) Lightner Combs, Jacqueline (David) Bell, Yolanda Lightner, Jimmie Lightner Jr., all of Davenport; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Geraldine Parks and Milton McBroom.
