Violet M. Baker

Violet Mae Baker, 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 07, 2024 at Senior Star at Elmore Place in Davenport, Iowa.

She was born the daughter of Samuel and Mildred (Noble) Parks on July 4, 1936 in Columbus Junction, Iowa. She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1954.

Violet married Willis C. Baker in Muscatine. He preceded her in death in 2006.

She enjoyed traveling to several states and countries with her husband, reading, her pets and eating out with her good friend, Kitty Butterfield.

Violet is survived by many cousins including Sandra White and many friends.

Cremation will be provided by the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa. Per her wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society of the Women’s Shelter.
