Warren Langwith

Warren William “Bill” Langwith, 67, of Johnston, formerly of Bettendorf, passed away December 19, 2015 at Veterans Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Veterans Hospice in Des Moines.
Born on July 21, 1948 in Kewanee, IL, Bill was the son of John and Rovene (Stovall) Langwith. The family moved to the Quad Cities in 1953 where Bill attended school, graduating from Pleasant Valley High School in 1966. He attended Northern State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls and then served his country in Viet Nam while part of the United States Navy Seabees. He was employed by Mahler Concrete until a back injury left him unable to continue his work. He then worked at Sunrise Golf Course until his health failed.
Survivors include, his mother, Rovene of Johnston, Iowa; brothers, John of Rock Island, Illinois, Dr. Dennis of Des Moines and Gary of Ankeny, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father.
