Wayne R. Clark

Wayne R. Clark, 78, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Faith Walk World Outreach Center in East Moline, Illinois. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born April 25, 1929 in Page, Nebraska. On September 3, 1977, he was united in marriage to Joann M. Rath in Rock Island, Illinois.
Wayne was employed as a security guard with Pinkerton Security of Davenport.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was honorably discharged in 1949. Some of the things he enjoyed were fishing, traveling and ice cream.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joann; his daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Sheets of Wilton, Iowa and Dorothy Darland of Virginia; his sons, Richard Cornwell of Centerville, Iowa and Brad Devore of Davenport; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Ollie (Bob) Hart of Lincoln, Nebraska.
