Wendell John Edwards

Funeral services for Wendell John Edwards, 73, of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Wheatland, Iowa. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.

Wendell passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Wendell was born on October 9, 1949, in Davenport, the son of Charles and Margaret (Franck) Edwards. He married Joanne Endorf  in Las Vegas on March 1, 2013. He worked at Oscar Mayer for 20 years, retiring in 2009. He then worked in inventory at HyVee. He enjoyed playing golf and going to auctions.  

Survivors include his wife, Joanne of Davenport,; two daughters 2 step-daughters, and one son; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony Edwards of Washington State and Larry Edwards of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
