Wendy Rae Kozma, 58, of Davenport, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her home.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Wendy Rae Kozma Memorial Fund.
Born on September 18, 1954 in Fort Dodge, IA, Wendy was the daughter of Averill “Buddy” Woodrow and Olive Vivian (Campbell) West. In 2000 at Credit Island Park in Davenport, she married William Danford “Dan” Kozma.
Wendy worked as a seamstress for Seaford Clothing Company in Rock Island and for All Steel in Muscatine. She enjoyed reading, crafts and the outdoors, especially fishing. Wendy cherished her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dan Kozma; two sons and their wives, Avery and Shiela Shipley of Davenport and Barry and Amber Shipley of Davenport; two grandchildren, Jacob and Isabelle; one sister, Karen Jean (Ronald) Genco of Andrew, IA and Wendell Wade West of Bradgate, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Nancy, Maryann and Averilla; four brothers, James, Ronald, Charles “Butch” and Dennis; and a daughter in infancy.
