Wilford Fullmer

Funeral services for Wilford A. “Bubba” Fullmer, 71, of LeClaire, will be 1:00 pm on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 12:00 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Bubba was born in Davenport on August 17, 1952, to John and Virginia Fullmer. He grew up with 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by four brothers, Russ (Kristine) of LeClaire, Iowa,  Richard (Rose) of LeClaire, Iowa, Bob (Robert) of LeClaire, Iowa and James (Roxanne) of East Moline, Ilinois; two sisters, Ellen (Gary) of Bettendorf, Iowa, Terri of Pekin, Illinois, many nieces, nephews, friends and a special niece and guardian, Virginia Fullmer (Phillips).

Bubba loved firetrucks more than anything, (even cheeseburgers).  His favorite times were at holidays with family and friends, spending time with his favorite niece and caregiver Ginny (Sissy) and going on “dates” with his niece, Dolly, talking on the phone with his sisters, Ellen and Terri and having coffee with his brother, Bill (James).  Bubba was the life of the party even when there wasn’t a party. He loved his food. Bubba will be greatly missed and loved until the end of time.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Jeff, Dan, Mike; his sister, Mary, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and a lot of people waiting to see him.
