William Amling

William F. Amling, 56, a resident of Eldridge, Iowa died on Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home. Private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the East Dubuque High School Booster Club. Chambers Funeral Home of Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on September 29, 1957, the son of Wilbert and Alice (Fay) Amling and was a 1975 graduate of East Dubuque High School.
Bill owned & operated Health By Design in Eldridge. He loved riding his Harley, was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears. He was an avid body builder and in 2004, he won the Iowa Body Building Championship was named “Mr. Iowa,”
Those left to honor his memory include his fiancé, Sharon Cypher of DeWitt, Iowa; his children, William Spangler, Michael Amling, Raynesha Amling, Michelle Amling and O’Lissa Amling; his grandchildren, Kayden and Billy; his mother, Alice Amling of Dubuque, Iowa; his brothers, Warren Amling, Robert Meier, Steve Meier and Ralph Meier; and his close & special friend, Jana Steil.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert.
