William P. “Bill” Miller, 83, of Davenport, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.

Bill was born June 26, 1929 in Bettendorf, the son of Peter & Cecelia (Jiminez) Miller.  He was united in marriage to Patricia A. Keegan on January 1, 1952 in Clinton, Iowa.  Bill served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.

He was retired as a delivery driver for many years with Iowana and Swiss Valley Farms.  Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of sixty years, Patricia; his daughter, Tracey Bridge of Davenport; his sons & daughters-in-law, Thomas & Terri Miller of Davenport and Bruce & Josefine Miller of Elk Grove, Illinois;  his grandchildren, Nikki (Brian) Mayernick, Valerie (Matt Spidle) Miller, Lee Miller, Erin Miller (Brian Dixon), Shane Bridge (Megan Chitty),Kevin Miller and Cally Bridge; his step-grandchildren, Jeremy Bridge and Jessica Bridge; his great-grandchildren, Brock Atwood, Ava Miller, Cody Atwood and Conor Mayernick;  his sister, Ernestine Cale of Kansas City, Missouri; and his brother, George Miller of Tennessee.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Miller; and his son-in-law, Tom Bridge.
