William E. Cole

William E. Cole, 77, a resident of Princeton, Iowa, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 23, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park in Clinton, Iowa. Memorials made be made to the Princeton Fire Department.
William was born August 10, 1929 in Clinton, the son of Raymond & Maude (Crampton) Cole. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Greve on July 2, 1950 in Davenport.
William worked as a self employed contractor and was a long time member of Local Carpenter Union #4. He enjoyed wood working and traveling in the family motor home.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Brenda Rogers, and her husband, Tom, of Princeton; his granddaughters, Beth Brooks and her husband, John, of LeClaire, Iowa and Leah Rogers, also of LeClaire; his great-granddaughters, Anna and Emme; his sister Della Siem; and many nieces and one nephew.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bruce; and his sister, Darlene Santee.
