William F. “Bill” Bagley, 74, a resident of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, formerly of LeClaire, Iowa died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Riverview Manner, Pleasant Valley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church, LeClaire. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire.
Bill was born December 5, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Thomas and Hazel (Flynn) Bagley. He excelled in sports at LeClaire High School and was a well know sports figure in Eastern Iowa. In a 1953 semi-professional baseball game, he was struck with a pitched ball ending a promising playing career.
Relatives include David, Greg, Tyler and Gordon Pelo all of LeClaire.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hazel and his cousin, Pat Pelo.
