William H. Helms

William H. Helms, 84, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Bettendorf Healthcare Center, Bettendorf. Private family services will be held at a later date at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island.
William was born July 26, 1919 in Cincinatti, OH, the son of William and Josphine (Neahring) Helms. He married LuVern L. Rosenberg in 1944 in Davenport. She preceded him in death in 2001. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge, he was employed as a Management Analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal for over thirty years.
Those left to honor his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Steven & Linda Helms of Bettendorf, and his grandson and his wife, Scott & Felicia Helms of Ames, IA.
