William H. “Cannonball” Warren, 74, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 8, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born August 12, 1931 in Davenport, the son of Forrest & Clementine (Berry) Warren.
Cannonball sold newspapers on the streets of Davenport for many years. In addition, he also worked as a vendor at John O’Donnell Stadium and at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Catherine “Kitty” Kirk, Martha “Marty” Drew and Victoria “Vickie” Davis, all of Davenport; and his brothers, Herbert of Davenport and Harvey in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Clementine; and by his brother, Forrest.
