Winona L. Smith, 93, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at UnityPoint Trinity Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Born on October 11, 1922 in Davenport, Iowa, Winona was the daughter of Harry and Ival (Harper) Rynott. She married John Dale Smith. They later divorced.
Winona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Joyce Smith of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Engelbart of Houston, Texas, Diana, Sarah and Mark Smith, all of Bettendorf; great-grandchildren, Colton Smith, Blake Anders and Emily Engelbart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roger; and sister, Evelyn.
